The handbrake works solid, the cockpit is a bit cramped for adults but both my 7 yr old and 4yr old can reach pedals and play if they want. I went into this with no idea and limited skills. Modded the brake pedal (remove bushing) since it was difficult for son to use. Not a lot of room to get fingers in there. I'll make a better switch mounting setup later. I used a small switch (on/off) with a wood spacer and glued washer for handbrake. The wire is run to a female headphone jack I drilled into the corner grill of wheel so I could unplug the handbrake like the other parts. The extra wires shove into steering column. I used some connectors so I can still take it apart (sorry no picks of inside! Fail) at the wheel if needed. I saw others modding to make it work and figured why not figure it out. I liked the logitech price point but it didn't have a handbrake. Project was to build an 'inexpensive' setup that the family could use. ![]()
